Isabella was spayed last Tuesday; she was 3 lbs. 2 oz. when she went in. Had her teeth checked, too: only 5 baby teeth left, and he didn't think there would be a problem, but we'll take care of them later if they're retained. They sent her home with pain meds; we gave her two of the four syringes (loaded with liquid): One the same night, and one the next night, so she'd be able to sleep. She was slow the rest of the (same) day, and a little slower than usual the next day. By the third day, she was romping and tussling with the other dogs like nothing was wrong. She gets her stitches out on Friday.
I wish I could handle pain as readily as my dogs seem to. |
