First of all, he is being great...give that man a pat on the back. Then, go to his house some.
I have two adult boys and I don't think it's fair to say they miss being with their family any less than girls. They may hide it better, but I'm sure men want to spend time with their families as well.
Like others have said, you are VERY lucky to have so many choices and so many people who love both of you.
