Thanks for all the replies. He has a strange cough right when he wakes up every morning. It's pretty bad...he just walks around and coughs uncontrollably for about a minute and then he's fine. He's been like this for a month. The vet said that he doesn't have any congestion and she thinks it's post nasal drip. She also mentioned the trachea rings not being formed right on the smaller breeds. I hope this isn't the start of a collapsed trachea. I pray it's just allergies and he outgrows this.

I will go with the 1/4 tsp. I'm just wondering if there is something better than Robitussen that I could use for the post nasal drip.
