I got the Curve for Christmas and LOVE it! I have had no problems with it - but I've only had it for not quite 3 months
I, too, hate the "Blackberrry Fee" but - it gave me more text (and with 2 teenagers who love to let their fingers do the talking, I'm glad I have it) and access to web.
