We told people when we were trying to find homes for our dogs that 'teacups' don't exist and extremely small yorkies are very likely to be unhealthy. What is scary, those people are still looking We suspect they will not be good owners.
I don't think so either. I get so many people at my job that ask is Kitty a teacup and some even tells me that she isn't healthy if she is, I just pull out my health review to show that she is (I have to have it since I work at the mall. They need proof in case of an incident). But I have seen others puppies/dogs die young because of their small size. Not all, but the ones I've known. I also try to tell people that prices doesn't mean anything. 3 times, so far, in the last 4 days people tell me that they 'know' that the higher the price, the better the quality. I just smile and say not true, and give examples of dogs and websites.
