I try to do this throughout the day, to make her learn that she can get attention/please me by being quiet, instead of thinking that by crying she will get attention. I dont know if this will work for all situations, but i read this in my training book and it seems to be working so far
I guess that's my biggest problem...I just HATE to hear her cry when I know that all she wants me I know I'm a nut, but I feel like SHE thinks I'M being mean by not picking her up Or I feel like she thinks that I don't WANT to pick her up...however that so is not the case But heck, I mean I can't hold her 24/7 I just feel so awful when I hear her squeaky little whine lol, and I don't pick her up. She just stares up at me with those big brown eyes of hers and it just kills me

Your right though...I'm sure ignoring her little whines and then praising her when she's quiet will work...I am going to have to try that. But I have to say, it is going to be HARD. lol.
