Guess I would suggest separation. When I got Chipper, Missy Cat was determine to kill Chipper. As soon as that became apparent we bought a gate to separate the two. The cat was on the main floor and Chipper was on the 2nd level where we spend most of our time. Even when we would leave the house and Chipper was in his ex-pen, I would make sure that the bedroom door was closed. That way there was the gate and the door as barriers. It scared me to no end. We went on a short trip and took all the dogs with us. When we came back Missy Cat decided it was more entertaining to play with Chipper than try to kill him. Even after we got the Pommie for Chipper to play with, he will spend time playing with Missy Cat. It is interesting to watch. The kitty is about 4 x's bigger than Chipper.
