I didn't know that either...Emma got something like this as a puppy too-they said it was due to allergies. This was a different vet, but at the same clinic-turns out it's a husband and wife team of vets
She was wonderful, just like her husband was on Wednesday...Anyway, she told us that it most likely started as a simple small eye infection that probably would have gone away on its own, but it itched, so Emma scratched, making it spread and swell worse, therefore it itches worse and now the area around her eye is infected
We keep wiping off her eye because the gunk keeps building up. Yucky, and I bet it hurts her too
We have to put drops in 3 more times today-the vet wanted us to really get that antibiotic in there to get it cleaned out and Emma feeling better.
