My Vet doesn't recommend shots but every three years. There was a 10 year study done on over inoculating and found that most dogs were protected for up to 8 years. I have worked at an animal hospital too and my vet also believes that after the initial boosters, shots should only be given every 3 years. She is the kind of vet who leans more on the natural side of medicine and believes that most vacc. last at least 5 + years.
