I'm also tired of LOL. So I use "haha" instead and I end up saying "haha" or "hehe" all the time - it just sets a playful tone that I don't get by saying "that's really funny". Maybe I'm wrong.
But I do say the evil laugh a lot, "Muhahaha..."
