What we do - when I feel that the "play" is crossing the line into "obsession", I just take the toy away for awhile and redirect Coby to something else. I think that Sammy is probably fine and just having a good time. But if you start to wonder about him getting a little too focused on the toy, just try trading it for something different. I've seen the panting and crazed look in the eye. That's when I try to distract him to something else.
