I have the Pearl I like it. But it does freeze up a lot, and they say thats normal.. I have had to call techinal support on it a few times. My battery has started going bad, and I don;t browse the internet a lot either. The other downfall like you mention was the 34 dollars a month. So just think hard before you get it
but it does get bigger pictures and you can get more text messages
