I know that the rice bags won't stay warm all night. I used a heating pad under the crate and it seemed to work good for Myah. She was only a pound when I brought her home a month ago. I also cut a old sock and made a little sweater for her to wear at night or when we went outside. If you make a cut before the heel part of the sock and then cut a area out for the legs, it works out great.

I also have a stuffed dog that I put in her crate that she snuggles up with.
