well chances are you just THINK he is pouting it is great that he isn't crying anymore. but try not to make a big deal out of leaving... it will just stress him out... maybe you can give him a speical treat, say a key work (i say, mommy will be RIGHT BACK) and Layla understands.. i also put out a special blanket that i only use when i'm going out.. i put it on the stairs (where she sits and waits) so when this blanket comes out she knows i will be leaving for a bit. i find rituals REALLY help.
