Sounds like you have the new bug...it should be fun. Mmmmh check Ikea..I was there yesterday and I think I saw a nice comforter cover that was a brown.
Walmart has some good sales going on so check them out too for new linens. I would say if your doing the wall a brown then maybe do the ceiling an off white it will be a nice addition next to the brown. Don't go too dark on the wall color because it will make the room look smaller...not sure how big your bedroom is.
