Wow, You have a lot to think about. I went to live there as a child and had to leave my dog behind. My mother had checked into bring my dog but we thought the quarantine would be to long.....That was in the seventies and it sounds like thing have not changed. Australia is a beautiful place and my relatives are all there..........I would not want to leave my Yorkies but I don't know if I could put them in quartantine for that long.............
