I actually haven't started to use the grate yet, as I am still getting Annie to get used to the Wizdog. Even though I put the pad on it for her she still thinks its different than putting the pad on the floor. But I can't imagine it to be that hard to clean. Maybe runny poop might be hard to clean if it get stuck in the grate holes cause the grate holes are small. Also as far as poop goes it might actually be easier to just pick up the poop off the tray and flush it down the toilet rather than flip the grate over as the site suggests. I think that grate fits the tray perfectly and then there would be this lump that kinda offsets it.

The pad don't fit. but you can easily fold the ends of the pads inside so that it is the right size.

The words don't come out cause it is molded into the plastic tray. But it is the same color as the tray so it just blends in.
I was actually a little disappointed in the product only cause it seems a little "cheaper" in quality than the amount I paid for it. The wizdog site charges $39.95 plus about $10 for shipping. There was another thread where someone found a site selling it for about $25. I would do a search and look for that.
