What kind of crystals did the vet find? This is important to know...If they are ammonium bi/urate, I would most definitely have your pup bile acid tested, as these stones usually only form in a dog with liver shunt/MVD unless it's a dalmation, which obviously, your yorkie is not.
Crystals, inappetance, vomiting, etc. are signs of possible liver problems.
