That sounds like they really took advantage of you. I just had Cali at the er vet for eating a latex toy that caused stomach problems it only cost 280.00. They took Xrays/ They did say I could leave her all night for observation, which I declined as I can watch her and bring her back if needed. Then she had bloody stool a week later took her to regulat vet they did a fecal test (40.00) and gave gave her medicine (5.00) so I think they really overcharged. My Pom has bloody stool unless she is on meds every day then she is fine, I would try and talk to the office manager at the vets or owner and file a complaint. I am glad your baby is better.
