Most of mine are are on waiting lists anyways and I have already talked to them and screened them so I do not have to worry about it.
Yes there is alot of freaks out there. You can always send pics via email and if they are truly intersted then go from there.
I wouldnt have a female bred that I did not already have buyers in line anyways. When you advertise in the paper etc then you get the weirdos.
If you have a place of buisness that you woudl sell them too then I would not mind taking a look.
Just because you go to someones home and it looks nice does not necessarily mean that is where the dogs are being kept. I have been to some breeders homes that looked really nice but they won't show you where the dogs are being raised. Many breeders keep their dogs in buildings away from the house or they cram them in a little room full of cages. I went to see some puppies one time and I just happened to walk to the back yard of the house before the lady let me in her house and I was horrified at the condition of the dogs and the area they were kept in. Inside the house the dogs were clean and looked nice but I certainly would not buy a dog from her. I heard later she got in serious trouble and her dogs had brucellosis. I just heard a sad story yesterday that some breeder around Athens, TX lost a bunch of their dogs because they had them in a building with dogs two levels high and the air conditioning went out and all the dogs on the top level died because of the heat. So sad. I am sure you already know all these things because you sound like a very responsible breeder. I just get upset at how some people keep their dogs. I do not have anything to hide at my home and I gladly tell everyone how my Yorkies are raised but I don't let just anybody come to my home unless I really know them.
