She's not really small (7 lbs)...more like the opposite...she's very thick so she may be carrying them up higher. I don't want to feel around her belly too much for fear that I might injure a baby, but she's definitely solid right around the bottom of her ribs on both sides (a new development). I'm still not getting my hopes up, because it could also be a false pregnancy since her heat was so strange this time. However, I do think it's something that she gained 1/2 a lb...that certainly wouldn't happen normally. She still has another 2 weeks to go...so we'll see. I'll do xrays during her last week.
She does have smaller litters. Her last just had 1 puppy, her first litter was 3. |
