It really depends on the brand I think, as some will hold their value better than others. You can almost always resell Juicy, Coach, Louis Vuitton and some of the other designer brands for close to full retail. Other store brands are not near as likely to retain their value, even new. As they will most often be listed on sale sometimes for half off, or more of the initial retail price.
