 Anyone have advise on coughing?
Our yorkie has been hacking for over a month now. We got him in late January and he started soon after. We have had him to the vet 4 times now and even had him xrayed for potential problems with his trachea. Doctor told us that he has minor trachea collapse and a bad case of bronchitis. Romeo has been on a antibiotic and anti-cough medicine for some time. The cough suppresant does work but I am afraid he will have to take this forever. Has anyone had similiar problems? Our vet says that Romeo will most likely out grow the trachea issue but I have done some research and never heard of that happening. Also, can yorkies have chronic bronchitis? Any one seen that before. Your input is appreciated! Also..if anyone knows a specialist that they would recommend in southern Wisconsin or Northern Illinois...... |
