I recommend using sevin lawn and garden granules outside. Just sprinkle it all around your house. I you have fleas bad in the house you can use 5% sevin dust, just sprinkle it on the carpet and leave it for a couple of hours and then vacuum it up. You can even use the 5% sevin on your pets but I prefer not to do that. I use Advantage on my Yorkies when necessary but I even hate using that because of some of the side effects and it can harm their coat. I hate fleas too but living in southeast Texas there is just no way to avoid them. It is a constant battle. To get rid of fleas you have to break the cycle, kill the fleas and then kill the next batch of fleas that hatch before they have a chance to lay eggs.
