The reason you should not use human products exclusively is that human hair and skin has a higher acidity ph than a dogs and so does shampoo that is made for humans. the acid in the shampoo will help seal the cuticle of the hair but if used constantly can also cause brittleness of the hair and flaking of the skin. Rotate shampoo and you should get good results. You'll find that a professional quality human shampoo and conditioner will give your dog excellent shine, just watch the temp on the blow dryer.
