If he cannot bear any weight on the leg, it's serious. He could have a broken leg, a torn ligament, or dislocated something. But non-weight bearing lameness means there is a serious problem and something needs to be done now. If he was just limping a little I might wait...but not if he isn't bearing any wait at all.

At 8 weeks old this puppy was too young to have left its breeder. Toy breed dogs shouldn't go to their new homes until a minimum of 12 weeks of age. You need to be very careful to make sure he eats well and doesn't get hypoglycemic.

For the leg, I'd be making a trip to the ER
