Ugh! First off let me say I live in a small town and the officers around here are most known for hanging out at the truck stop or Taco Bell and not really doing their job. They also are the most unfriendly group of people you will ever meet. It doesn't matter if you are the ones in trouble or asking for help, they are crappy. Back to why I posted this thread.
Today my husband and my son went to the bank and on their way back they noticed two police cars and a fire truck in front of hubbys great grandmothers house. He started to panic (she lives on a fairly busy road and they had that section blocked off) so he pulls over and parks in the church parking lot, gets out, and then gets my son out of his carseat and proceeds to walk close to the officer. Well my husband no longer said "My grandma...." and the officer said that's the churches parking lot, move your car. Hubby then just said alright but this is my grandmothers house and I want to make sure she is alright. He said (in a rude tone) that she is fine it was her garage that caught on fire. He wouldn't even let my husband speak with her. She is in her 80's and her husband recently passed on and she gets very nervous quickly. He refused to let hubby talk to her so my husband just left. No sense in arguing because he wasn't going to win. It was just the night before my mom was in CVS and the police yelled at an elderly gentlemen (the store went on lockdown and he couldn't get to his wife and was scared). This is bulls**t!!!!

I honestly have never seen such a rude group of guys in my life!!!! They wonder why my generation doesn't give them any respect....this is why. I just had to vent. Sorry if I'm overreacting but I was just fuming today. Our local law inforcement is terrible and slow at that.
