You mentioned getting a food dehydrator and trying sweet potatoes - I can tell you that at the Novi Pet Expo there was someone selling packages of these (I can't remember the brand name). They looked lots like a dried apricot, but thicker and much firmer. Well long story short, one of the people who bought these gave a piece to her baby. When they chew and it hydrates with the saliva, it becomes really super sticky and gooey. A piece got got stuck on her very back tooth and the rest went down the back of her throat choking her. They thought she was going to literally choke to death when they finally got it out. So that is something to keep in mind as well. Seems like nothing is safe!!! |
