Well. I decided to finally get Tucker neutered. I didn't do it at 6 months when they said I should have because I was scared for him to go into surgery and thought he would be just fine without being neutered.
Well, he has now started to mark things, even in the house
Before doing this he was perfectly potty trained to go outside. He still does to actually pee, but when there is something new in the house he goes over and lifts his leg! So I decided I should have him neutered.
I'm having second thoughts though. Maybe those of you who have neutered an older puppy could help me out? Tucker was born January 14 2007. So he is about 14 mo. old. At this age will neutering really change anything? I mean, is it realistic to think that neutering him will stop him from marking things, etc.?
Any advice, suggestions, or stories about your experience would be greatly appreciated! I am also interested in knowing if there are any bad side effects from neutering that I should know about.
