Maggy May hasn't learned to do this but I can sure sympathize with you as well, I'd be so worried they'd get their lil legs caught and then fall. But out of curiosity, what DOES one do in this kinda situation? I mean, if you add another gate to make it even higher, I'm sure they'd just climb even higher. My daughter has a chiuahuah and a room that is ALL HIS, she didn't have a gate and I wasn't given mine up cause we use it for our furkids but she did have a new piece of extra counter top. I measured the doorway and cut it down to size and then put it in the doorway and placed screws along the one side (there's trim on the other side and it keeps him safely in there when she can't keep an eye on him. It's all flat so he can't climb it but I'm sure once he gets older, he'll be over it with just one jump, lol.
