For photos, I like HP printers. I have a Lexmark scanner/printer for my normal printing and an HP for photos. I would NOT recommend a Lexmark. They are wildly inexpensive

but unfortunately do not seem to last very long

I would also suggest that you get one that prints different paper sizes, so you can print small pictures too.
