My pup had a lump on his neck when I got him, from the breeder's shot they gave him and when I took him to the vet it was infected and they had to lancet it and puss came out. The vet also then gave me an antibiotic to give him. You might just want to call your vet so that they know this happened just in case. This mainly happens when a non sterile needle is used, or some of the plastic/rubber stuff on the vial will get on the needle then accidentally get injected.
