Smile Do you know Ilona's Delight Yorkies and Biewer Yorkies a la Pom Pon?

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone has heard of Ilona's Delight Yorkies and Biewer Yorkies a la Pom Pon. The contact lady was named Ilona Shanklin and she is located in East Redlands. I found her off breeders.net and spoke to here on the phone today.

She seemed like a really genuine lady. She breeds Traditional for about 15 years now and Biewer Yorkies for 4 years. I spoke with her for almost an hour where she told me about her business. She said she's established a Yorkie line of 6 generations over the past 10 years. What struck me at first was that she threw out the term teacup when I told her that I didn't want anything small in fear of possibly losing or having the puppy get hurt. As I continued my conversation with her, she told me her puppies come with a 1 year guarantee but that she stands behind her puppies for a lifetime. He puppies range from $800-$3000, based on their size and appearance. They come with a limited registration and she says that she spends a good amount of money on their diet, making sure that they eat well so they can stay healthy.

When I told her about myself and my budget (approx $1000) she told me that she has several dogs that would be in my price range but that the one she feels would best suit me and my needs was her 4-5 lb. boy. She said that she doesn't skim on quality and prides herself in spending the money to make sure the dogs are in good health. That is why she does not sell them for too low. She also mentioned that she had some Yorkinese (Yorkie mixed with Pekingese) that could be in my price range.

She suggested that I come visit her (she is about 30 minutes east of me) to see the puppies and see if I fall in love with any of them. All in all, I really liked the way she came off and am definitely considering going to visit her. However, I wanted to find out more input from YT members about this lady if anyone has purchased a dog from her or if anyone has had any experiences with her (namely, negative ones). After my visit with Nikki M, I found that this lady was much more upstanding and more accommodating. She gave me the feeling that she cared not just about the customer but mainly, about the well-being of her dogs to ensure that they are put in a good home.

Any and all input would be appreciated. Thank you!
