My left-handed g-mother taught me (right-handed) to crochet almost 50 years ago. I'd sit in front of (facing) her and actually go backwards to what she was doing. I've spent thousands of dollars in yarn and thread, making everything from bedspreads to dog sweaters.
For about 10 years, I've tried to make at least one small blanket each month and my daughter takes them to Texas Childrens Hospital at Christmas time, because a g-son was in a coma there once.
