My Hoku was diagnosed with a Grade 4-5 heart murmur when I got her. I had her checked by a 2nd vet and had an ultrasound done. When everyone concluded that this was not a slight murmur that she could outgrow I sent copies of everything to the breeder and she said she would take Hoku back and give me a replacement puppy. I was already attached to her and did not want her put down so I kept her with the understanding that when she passed on I would receive another puppy for free. Meanwhile, the breeder had another litter from different parents so she gave me one of those puppies also.
