In my opinion Avoderm is a not a good choice. Here are the ingredients on the first two lines:
Quote:
Ground Whole Wheat Flour, Beef Meal, Ground Whole Rice, Avocado Oil, Soybean Oil, Avocado Meal, Lecithin, Flax Seed, Herring Meal, Dried Kelp, Dried
There is not enough quality protein and the first ingredient is flour. Other red flags are the avocado and soybean oil (double whammy)

I found this on the internet about avocados:
Quote:
Avocados are toxic to many animals. The offensive chemical damages heart, lung, and other essential tissues. Be aware since guacamole's main ingredient is avocado, that you keep any such dips well out of your dog's reach.
I just don't see how they justify putting avocado in a dog food. I recommend you try a dog food like Canidae, Chicken Soup, Solid Gold, Wellness. There are many better choices.
