What about using a small rubermaid storage bin. You could cut a hole in it so he could walk inside? You would have to use an electric sander to to make sure there were no jagged edges in the hole and then he could lift his leg on the side of the bin. I don't know if it would hold onto oder though. For as cheap as they are you could just replace it every so often.
