We have a pup that was born in early January. At 7 weeks old we noticed she had developed a 'bump' in her belly button area. From what I've read this seems to be a delayed closure rather than a true hernia. I also read that if this were the case, the bump should be pressed and massaged daily to allow the muscle tissue to close over it. I have been doing this but am not sure how to tell if I'm getting results. Does anyone know how long this process may take?
