YEP! Soy can be a disaster for some, and okay for others. Keep in mind that soy can be extremely allergenic for dogs in particular....probably because of how "foreign" the protein chain is to their systems (vs. meat chains). Soy is even well known as allergenic for alot of humans. Not everyone, but many have to avoid it.

I've also read that if you do consume soy on a regular basis - that you should consume it no more 3x per week or so (tempeh also) - due to the risks that may accompany soy. On the flip side, there can be many great benefits to soy too - but one really does need to educate themselves about soy (ie, soy is estrogenic, so if there is breast cancer in the family, be careful - stuff like that).
