She has not scratched once in the last hour or so since being on benadryl. Im so confused... Does that mean its definately an allergy?
I dont want to have to ALWAYS give her benadryl... it makes her really drowsy but i think ill give her another one in the morning just to see if the red spots go away tomorrow if she stops scratching at them every 2 minutes.
Again, thanks for all the help! Im so happy that we have a place like this. Everyone is so caring and I tresure all your advice. We have to keep DONATING so we dont lose this hidden treasure. |
I don't blame you..I wouldn't want to have to keep giving her the benadryl either...it does make them so tired..Heck, I take them to help me get to sleep some nights..I would still look for a vet that specializes in allergies..actually, when I switch food over, I do it within a week...they tend to do okay with the switches...I just switched mine over, mixed a little of the new with the old about 3 days ago, and they're just about completley changed over with no problems...keep us up to date on what's going on with your little one
