I went to my first dog show at Qwest Field in Seattle today (actually I used to go when I was way way younger, but I really can't remember that far back LOL

). IT WAS SOOO DANG FUN!!!
I've been toying with the idea of showing my pups for awhile now, but after looking at all the beautiful Yorkies, I don't believe my babies are of show quality
However, Aidan (Biewer) our newest baby who will be arriving very soon, may be able to show. I found a training school that would work with us on obedience and conformation (after Aidan adjusts to his new family & home). If he does have the ability to show, at what age can he compete in dog shows? One woman we met today told us she should have waited to show her Doberman (1 year old) because he was competing with older dogs and didn't do too well (he was gorgeous too!! and thought he did well). Are there any other advice you can give us as we begin our new adventure?
We were also trying to figure out what BOW means. We figured out BOB is Best of Breed, BOS is Best of Show. I'm sure it's something simple, but I couldn't find it in my dog show competition book. Help, anyone?
