We have a vet here that is great with little dogs and skin conditions, but, it's quite a long drive for you..Your vet should be able to refer you to a specialist..I'm sure there are some in your area..I saw a dog on dogtown one night that scratched so much, it scratched almost all its hair off..they figured the dog would do better in the climate where they're located, which it did, can't remember what the dog had..I just hope you can find the cause and get it taken care of, I'm sure it's got to be aggrivating for the dog..
