A service dog must be specifically trained to perform a service to assist its handler with his or her disability. Wobie is trained to alert me to an oncoming panic attack, bring me medication, and intercept compulsive behaviors. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to justify the need for a service dog based on companionship and therapy alone. What services could the yorkie perform for your daughter?
