Believe it or not, he STILL woke me up last night. But he did use the pee pad. So perhaps his waking me up was out of habit because he had a place to go potty at night. Or else I'm confusing him. This was just the first night, so I'm going to keep doing this.

Yeah, I think you right about habit. I agree with the above poster who recommended washable pads. I made some from old towels, and Joey took to them right away. We finally put Joey in our bed, and he started sleeping through the night. They really are pack animals! Good luck!
