How stupid...why would you want to buy a puppy from a breeder that has no interest in it after it leaves? With my older cat and Lacy, I have no contact with their breeders. I wrote a letter to Lacy's breeder when she was a year old and told her how she was doing. I gave her my e-mail address and told her if she ever wanted me to bring Lacy by if I was traveling through there to let me know. She e-mailed me back and said it was nice to hear she was doing well and that she often wondered about the puppies she sold. And that was it.. With my youngest cat, I don't keep in frequent touch with her breeder, although I did e-mail her more often at first. I'll probably send her new pics sometime soon and give her an other update. I feel like I could call her if I needed anything and she would be there...she's really a great breeder. When I buy my next puppy, I hope I already have a relationship with the breeder beforehand and I expect them to want updates and to see them occasionally. I feel like a good breeder will be there for you if you ever have a question and will want to be somewhat involved in the puppy's life
