I think it's easier to manage a diabetic dog because Lady has no choice. She eats what I feed her, never gets to skip her shots, etc.

She is hysterical! She loves getting her blood sugar checked. I made it a really positive, upbeat experience right from the start with a happy voice and a treat so she comes running when I tell her it's time to check her sugar. In fact, she'll usually comes running when she hears me unzip the case to her meter.
