I think you have to be careful. Some Chihuahuas aren't very good with kids, they can be very temperamental and nippy. That being said, my Mom lives with us and has one of the sweetest Chihuahuas you'll ever meet. He's not a barker (a lot of them are), he's even tempered, has never bitten anyone, and he's Scooter's best buddy! They play all of the time. They're a good match because they're both small.
