Dog Michigander looking to adopt

I would really like a local dog, I can see and meet and pick up. I am willilng to drive up to about 4 hours, so if meeting half way or so, it could be from farther. Age isn't really an issue but I am not ready for a senior, I want many years before I have to part. I am sorta stuck on the yorkie look but not apposed to mixed breeds. I actually like the "Benji" look you sometimes get with yorkie mixes. But I am not fond of chiuauas (did I spell that right?).

A little about myself. I am a stay at home, homeschooling mom. I just recently started working at my husbands work, about 12 hours a week. (we live above the bussiness so its a nice commute). So, as you noticed we live in an apartment. We do have acces to yard, but its not fenced in. We have two doors before entering the big out doors, so no chance of unexpected escape.
My boys are very mature and good with animals. They are 12 and 8, the 8 year old propbably the more sensitive of the two.
I am looking for a new "baby" for the family... who am I kidding? A new baby for me.
If you have any other questions feel free to call. 989 777 1698
Thank you,
Tara
