Not with the petsafe system.....the it sends out warning beeps when they get to close and continues to shock for a certain amount of time if the exit the area.......as soon as they come back in it stops. I took my lab one time to figure out what the beeps meant and she's 70lbs! She hasn't crossed the line since!
