Well, I have read alot that microwaving meat can actually change it's makeup - so you're probably changing its protein chains quite a bit by micro-ing it. What you could try instead is just searing it for about 5 secs each side.
If it were me, what I'd instead try (to preserve the raw nutrients) is use canned/mashed potatos (
those I micro, I'm not as much concerned w/ simple carbs) - mix some in WITH the raw medallion. That can be quite enticing - and you'll maintain the superior nutrition of the intact medallion.
